What To Expect Walking In On Sundays

After School Enrichment Program

About the After School Enrichment Program

What is Richmond Community Church’s After School Enrichment Program?

The Program’s vision is to enhance students and their education in a safe and affordable place. We will offer enrichment opportunities that will enhance your child’s learning and create fun experiences for them! Whether it is creative writing, mathematics or engineering class, your child will be learning new skills, will be creating new friendships and will be actively engaged.

What are the hours of operation?

We will be open weekdays until 6 PM. We will open at 11:30 AM when the students have a scheduled half day off from school (additional fee). If the Henrico County Public School system is closed or closes early due to inclement weather, the program will also close. Bus service will be provided from the following elementary schools: Shady Grove, Colonial Trail, Kaaechele, Twin Hickory and Rivers Edge. You are also welcome to drop your child off if you prefer.

Do we offer homework assistance?

We will have scheduled homework completion time daily. If your child does not have any homework that day, an alternative activity will be provided (devotional time, extra reading, etc.)

Can my child’s teacher contact you?

Of course! We welcome any communication from your child’s school. We will partner with teachers in any way we can to better benefit your child.

What types of enrichment opportunities are included?

We will partner with local enrichment programs to enhance your child’s after school hours. Workshops in reading and writing, Lego building and robotics are just some examples of the exciting programs we plan to offer.

Can I visit?

We would love to have you visit our program at any time. We have an Open Door Policy here at RCC’s After School Enrichment Program. If you have specific question or concerns, please make an appointment with the Director.

My child has special needs. Can she attend enroll?

We welcome all children to come and visit the program. We can then discuss and determine together if this program is a place where your child will succeed.
